Recent Government regulations emphasize the need for evidence to ascertain facts and minimize recurring accidents. Implementing safety management systems in vehicles is vital. Our Fleetwatch solution for school buses include a digital device (commonly known as a “black box”) and a satellite positioning and monitoring system for real-time monitoring. They prevent driver fatigue, overspeeding, and other unsafe behaviors. Additionally, integrating a video recording system into the mobile GPS system helps prevent overloading incidents, as school bus drivers are aware of being monitored and recorded.

Despite the government’s efforts to regulate and protect students, incidents such as fights and accidents still occur on school buses. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a vehicle safety monitoring and management system with the following functions:

Our proposed solution includes equipping each school bus with a video surveillance system and GPS tracking.

This solution not only provides peace of mind for students and parents during bus travel but also offers real-time vehicle status to the school bus operator. It helps prevent break-ins, overspeeding, and deviating from routes. With the installed camera system, drivers can monitor both the inside and outside of the bus, enhancing their attentiveness and ensuring a safe journey for students.

Alerts and alarms can be incorporated, and operators and parents can receive notifications via email, text messages, and other means.

Remote monitoring and management are facilitated through wireless video transmission (3G and 4G). Users can monitor vehicle location and live video feed from a control center, computer notebook, or mobile smartphone.

Real-time video monitoring of the school bus during operation is made possible through the embedded monitoring system in the vehicle. Cameras can be installed based on operational requirements, providing a view of the road, front-end, back-end, and students seated behind the driver.

Recorded videos can be reviewed and replayed by removing the SD card storage media and using the gPlayer video playback software application on a local computer.
